The Hidden Alphabet Assginment

Print

Here is an alphabet I made after been set the assignment on hidden alphabets. The assignment is about having letters hidden inside other letters either using negative space or any other method. In my alphabet, I reversed the hidden alphabet so that ‘Z’ is hidden in ‘A’ and ‘Y’ is hidden in ‘B’.

Some Websites that have what I’m looking for

This one has a series of square tiles all the way done it’s page which act as buttons. This is a useful style because whether on mobile, tablet or computer you will be able to keep a very consistent design.

2016-10-24-1This is actually the website of an interactive designer. It has an interesting interaction feature which I have not come across before where the text ‘bonjour’ will slowly move across the screen on a constant loop changing colours from purple to pink. The user can then grab the text with their mouse and move it in whatever direction they like and also throw it so it moves by its self for a few seconds again. Unfortunately, it seems after the user takes hold of it the animation loop ends and won’t move again.

Band or Brand?

For my first project in Digital Practice is to create a website for any Band or Brand I would like. So far I haven’t decided what to do. But out of the two, I’ll most likely go with a band because I would like to create something colourful and fun for this website. I’m thinking some kind of DJ or someone who does electronic music seen as that will be the most fitting.

Critical Analysis Start

For my Critical Analysis module, we have been asked to pick out some subjects which interest us. Here are mine:

Unusual interfaces such as things that don’t involve screens or anything that isn’t widely used. This could be the Emotiv EPOC, a device that allows you to control things with your thought.

Gesture interfaces like what the Kinect started to do, or VR which I haven’t yet tried.

I find these technologies interesting because at the moment, when they are only just starting to come out, they are seen as gimmicky and not something you would use in normal situations. I think this will change over time if they keep bringing out newer and newer models, which the users find more comfortable.

Personal Logo…

I’ve added a logo to this blog which I put together recently for my own use. It has the initial of my first name ‘J’ in orange and my surname’s initial ‘C’ in white with the in between filled with black.pesonal-logo-3-2
